WEddings, handfastings, and naming ceremonies
I serve as a celebrant, conducting ceremonial rites of unity and growth through handfastings, or weddings, and naming ceremonies!
My Approach to Ceremony
As a pantheist and eclectic pagan, I believe in all pantheons and all Gods and Goddesses. I follow a Druidic path of Celtic practice, but I mostly work with Hellenic Gods. My focus is on what my clients are comfortable with, and how I can provide a ceremony that represents them and their traditions and beliefs. I like to involve nature in any rituals I conduct – working with the spirits of the land and ensuring that we are mindful of nature. I also like to involve the ancestors of my clients, inviting them to remember who, what, and where has brought them to where they are now.

A Focus on Clients' Needs
The ceremonies conducted should be suited to you and your beliefs and way of life. We should work together to give you the best experience!

Working with Nature
Working with the spirits of the land, knowing what nature provides for us, and remembering that we are a part of nature, as all things are.

Honouring Our Ancestors
Honouring those who came before us and those who have shaped our paths, allowing them to witness or be a part of your celebrations, whether they were family, friends, or guides to you.

Working with YOU and Your ExperienceÂ
The ceremonies I conduct should be suited to you! It’s important that you feel comfortable and heard on a day that celebrates you, your partner, or your family. I strive to give you the most appropriate and thoughtful ceremony for the occasion you have in mind, and I’m happy to alter anything you may request. It’s good for me to know a little bit about you, your spiritual inclinations, and your background so that I can cater the experience for you.

Handfastings, Weddings, and Vow Renewal Ceremonies
Your love is sacred and you deserve to celebrate it the way you want to! If you’re pagan, spiritual, or would prefer a more humanist ceremony, my services as a celebrant are for you. My union ceremonies include handfastings, weddings, and vow renewals.Â
Handfasting ceremonies were originally Germanic in origin and were an engagement ritual, a precursor to permanent marriage – but today, they are seen by many modern pagans to be the main event! Tying the hands of two lovers together represents their bond and the strength of their love, and the ribbons are specially made from high-quality materials or are made by loved ones. You may choose to make it so that your ribbons have significant charms, symbols or patterns woven into them as well.Â
Pagan weddings involve calling upon specific Gods or following some of the traditions of a certain pagan branch in the ceremony. This could be as simple as inviting a deity to be present and bear witness to the union. As a pagan, animist, or spiritually inclined person, you may also want to call in or work with the elements (earth, air, fire, and water), land spirits, your ancestors or spiritual guides, or simply nature and the universe. Many pagan weddings involve closing the ceremony by jumping over a broom or a purifying fire (many prefer a broom for safety reasons), or some finish by sharing wine or mead from a goblet between attendees of the wedding. A vow renewal ceremony is very similar to a wedding, although I would say that it’s more to mark the passing of time and the strength of your bond above most other aspects.
There is a lot of choice with wedding ceremonies and I can work with you to see what works best for you!
Naming Ceremonies for Adults and Children
If you’ve recently had a new baby enter your life, or you’ve decided to adopt a child and wish to lovingly initiate them into your family, a naming ceremony is a beautiful way to honour and welcome your new family member.
A naming ceremony for a child or new family member can be as intimate or grand as you’d like it to be! You might want to explain why you chose a name (or in the case of an adopted child, why it’s important that you’re giving them your surname). You may want to call in deities, the elements, or spiritual guardians to watch over them if you’re spiritually inclined, and they could be anointed with a skin-safe oil or blessed water. You may also want to include readings of some special words you’d like to say, and you could include some poetry or a fitting short story.
You can also have a naming ceremony if you’re changing your name and want to symbolically shed your old identity for your newly chosen one. This ceremony is inclusive for everyone! You could just feel that your old name doesn’t suit who you are anymore, or perhaps you’ve been through a separation, or you may want a new name that reflects your beliefs. It’s also an especially wonderful way for someone transitioning their gender to honour themselves and their journey towards self-fulfilment.Â
A naming ceremony for an adult has an element of shedding your old self and emerging as someone new that a child’s naming ceremony may not. You may wish to burn your old name over an open flame and anoint yourself with water or oil to cleanse yourself and draw in luck, abundance, etc.Â
Any naming ritual should be suited to your needs and personal way of life, and I’d love to help you celebrate!

 My Suggestions as a Celebrant
My Opinions and How I Work Best!
I would highly suggest doing our rituals and ceremonies outdoors or in a spot that’s sacred to you. I also work best surrounded by trees, even if it’s only a garden!
You may want to come to me with some ideas in mind before we begin talking – think about what you believe in, what deities, spirits, etc you would like to be present for your ceremonies (if any). What inspires you?
I would prefer not to work with certain entities, spirits or deities for my own comfort! (This can be discussed).

Frequently Asked Questions
Learn More!
Do i have to be pagan for your services?
No, I can create ceremonies based on your personal beliefs! I may not connect with certain deities or beliefs, and may not be the best fit for some folks, but we can have a chat before we begin to plan your ceremony!
What do you base your ceremonies on?
I make a lot of my ceremonies intuitively with symbolism in mind, as well as with a basis of historical records and scriptures and pagan mythologies. Above all, I work with what my clients are familiar with and elements of my own spiritual path.
Will you travel outside merseyside?
I can, but I prefer to stay local to where I live! I may need to have travel and accommodation costs covered.
